Deep down in the Underworld, there lives a little creature

What I've been wondering today quite a bit is that why do I consider people who dress colorfully my INSPIRATION when I myself mostly use dark clothes? This is a thought I've been thinking the whole day. A stupid thought. It won't leave me alone.. So what is the answer to my question?

Let's take an example. Susie Bubble. She mostly dresses very colorfully and with lots of decoration and small accessories still managing to make her outfit always look BALANCED. That is what I like and have found it very inspirational. Always when I read her blog and see what she has worn makes me extremely inspired to look something up, write something or do something crazy (that I actually won't even regret later on!). I love the feeling but why don't I look like her, like, at all?

Another example is Nicki Minaj, she does the same thing to me as looking at Susie's photos. But still I can't adapt to her style. I wear very dark colors, maybe a glimpse of red and green under my shirt or around my neck but that's about it. I want to wear more colorful and extreme but it seem like I simply just can't. I like my style as it is now but I would love it to be more like Susie's or Nicki's.

Then I started thinking more deeply. WHAT IF I am not meant to wear clothes like Susie? Maybe I'm not supposed to be as bold as Nicki. Maybe this is who I am and the only problem I have is to accept myself. You can improve your style all the time but you can't change it. I now know that my style will evolve through out years but it will never change because I don't really believe in the claim that people could change their true selves whenever they want to. A person is who a person is. To some people it might sound depressing but all isn't written in stone: as I said, you can develop yourself. That is what I learned. I should be happy with the fact that I only have little color in my clothes because that is what is me. I might never wear completely as colorful or spicy as my inspirational idols do but I can take snips of boldness to my style - at the same time keeping it mine.

What a deep THOUGHTS I've had today (if you can call thoughts considering clothes deep). I think I'll do something less serious the rest of the day: might read the book a bought on weekend. The Devil Wears Prada, here I come! Now here is some inspiration for you to the end (and I believe I've posted way too much about Susie so here is Nicki!).

It's always raining when you wish for the Sun

I had a great day today. I went to see one of my best friends who I see way too rarely nowadays because he is  now serving his army duty. He came to Turku for a weekend vacation so we decided to meet and catch up on things. Our plan was to go to see the Tall Ships Regatta first and then head to his place to EAT and eat and eat some little more. We met in the city center and started walking to the TSR area when it started raining. I had an umbrella but it really has no use when the wind is blowing like 50m/s (well, almost). The ships were cool but we didn't really get in to the mood because of the weather. But SURPRISE, surprise when we left the area, the weather got better. Talk about our luck.

After we left, a friend of my bff 's joined us and we went to my friend's place (stopping by at a local market naturally). To end a good day the best way, my friend's big sister was getting rid off some of her old clothes and was kind enough to let me go through them. I found a new scarf, a cropped cardigan and a t-shirt with Snoopy for my sister. Definitely a good day today.

 A BIG ship (from Russia?).

Some more BIG ships.

Smaller but much more cuter ships.

My friend tried to take a photo of me and my dog but it failed a bit..

So here is where I parked my car!

My friend and our "small" buyings.

These are the items I bought for myself from my friend's sister. The t-shirt for my sister isn't in the pic.

Hey big spender, you and I should meet

I have some exciting news for YOU. I spent some more money - and I haven't even got my pay check yet! But it doesn't matter because when you see what I ordered you would have made the same decision. This is what I ordered:

So beautiful, aren't they? I'm melting by only watching them. They're from Topshop. I posted this in my previous text, praising them from earth to heaven, and finally, finally, soon, I am going to have them! I am praying God that they will fit me. If they don't... sadness. And death. Just kidding. But still, a lot of sadness.

I had a small shopping madness while tracking the progress of my shoe order so I looked up a maaaany new items I would see myself wearing. The list became pretty long, so be prepared!

Today we celebrate the Flea Market Day

I went to stroll around a couple of flea markets today with my mom. I had some luck because I was able to find 5 different great items: one book, one belt, one top, one pullover and one WESTERN shirt. I think I might make this a habit, going to some flea markets since they're so much cheaper and you can find so many cool things. Even though I wasn't really searching any of the items I bought it doesn't really matter because all the things I bought I know I will use. So while in flea markets you can't predict all the things you can find which is very EXCITING. Here are photos from the items I bought.

A nice, striped top to wear under other shirts.

I really like this one! Reminds me of a shirt I almost ordered from American Apparel (but now I am glad I didn't, this cost only 2 e!)

This one is a bit too large but it doesn't bother me since I wanted it to be a bit loose.

A black, pretty basic belt.

The book "Devil Wears Prada". The movie is one of my favorites so I wanted to read the book as well.

Redheads don't get in to heaven - shit

Just posting my today's make-up and OUTFIT here. Likey!

A little Tomb Raider till the end. Loving those shoes!

Don't worry too soon - be happy too soon

Today is a GOOD day. At first it wasn't such a good day because I was supposed to go to see Tall Ships Regatta in Aurajoki-shore with my friend but when I texted her to ask when we would meet she told me she already was there with her boyfriend. Didn't really feel like going there as a third wheel if you know what I mean. Then a short moment after my other friend told me she had fallen ill and couldn't come to with me tomorrow to stroll around some flea shops. Not a good start for the day. Well I patched tomorrow's problem with my mom but I felt irritated for not having anything to do today. But then!

I went to get my mail. I opened my mailbox. Newspaper. Bill for my sister. An advertisement. A package. A package? A package!! It was my Amazon package! Already! I ordered it like a little over a week ago and it is already here!

Style yourself - Foreword by Jane Aldridge! Yesyesyesyesyessss! This is what I've been waiting! I wasn't expecting it to arrive sooner than the middle of next month (because that's what Amazon claimed) so I was happily SURPRISED to get it now. I already read it and I have to say: I've found my new Bible. Order yours today!!!! The books is full of great tips and information about basic fashion terms. There are pages where you can learn all the names for different kind of shirts and dresses and shoes etc. and there are pages where the book teaches you to use patterns and colors and so on. And of course it is full of trendy and unique photos and texts from bloggers around the world. I came across a lot of new (and interesting) names and faces - but most importantly, some old and familiar (and loved) faces! I took some photos for you to get a hunch of what's going on between the covers.

Memory, all alone in the moonlight, I can smile at the old days.. etc.

My computer is about to EXPLODE so I am transferring all my photos to my outer hard disk and while doing that I came across my graduation pictures. I liked them so much that I'm going to show you some. These photos are from the beginning of the summer (as you may have guessed). I have the most beautiful dress I've ever had - and I am letting you in on a secret: it only cost me 25 euros, and it's from ELLOS! Surprising choice no? It looks much more classy than it really is, I love it!

Btw, don't get confused when you see my pics, I used to have long hair but I cut them almost right after those photos were taken. I have to say I LOVED my long hair - but I love my SHORT hair more! So no regrets.
