Shine a Light

Just a couple of littletinysmallnot-so-big updates: I might start writing my blog as well in Finnish in the future. I won't exclude English, I am still going to write most of my posts in English but I also will do posts in Finnish. Why? Because I noticed how my Finnish has worsen during the time I haven't really used it and it kiiinda sucks since I want to study journalism. The other update: I will be changing the name of my blog from Take it all off to Shine a Light. Why? More positive. And this sentence really hit me deep - I want to tattoo it to my hand as well! Just so you know.

This post is SUPERSIZED

..you are warned. Basically this post is about my yesterday evening (an evening I finally had all to myself). Some food and old fashion magazines and catalogs, what else can a girl want? Photos of the mags and some ads in the mags coming up.

Do you recognize these people? Yes, Penelope Cruz. No, the other one is not also Penelope. Guess again. Yes, it's her sister. I think they're like twins!

I fell in love with these eyes..

I was really surprised to find a Finnish model from one of the magazines (Elle). This is Suvi Koponen who won a Finnish TV show called "The Model House" and became a success right after it. I kinda like her.

I absolutely adore this photo! I don't know why but it is astonishing from my opinion. I just can't stop staring at it!

(And these we're only three of the mags, I didn't have time for the rest but be patient - their time will come soon.)

Today was a stormy day

..but it didn't stop our Amnesty groups in Turku to gather together to remember Anna Politkovskaja and to remind people about the restrictions of freedom of speak in Russia (CHECK!). We had a candle demonstration with a speech and some music. Here are the photos.

This first post is about my friend Johanna's house warming party. Nothing special to say about it in general, I had fun. The funniest thing actually was that while we were at J's place there was a blackout in the city center and the town was scarily dark. I liked it, it was REFRESHING to see my own Turku in a completely new way - pitch black. I didn't take any photos of it since, well, I still don't know how to photograph in dark.. I think I should ask my brother to assist me on this one. But anyways, here are some photos from the party (and naturally commenting in the photos!).

  

  

Our gift for J: a wine bottle with our own etiquette. The wine is white wine made by my sis and dad last summer. If you speak Finnish, you get the joke in the text ;)

..because it came alive again! I am going to name it Jesus.

  

But anyways, sorry for the long break since I last wrote here, my laptop seriously hasn't been really co-operative: shutting down suddenly and not opening after it, not uploading my photos and complaining about not having enough saving space, argh! Luckily my savior isn't far away: soon I will have my Sony Vaio here!

To show you guys I haven't forgotten all about you I planned this looooong photo post about a punch of magazines I got from my bro's girlfriend but instead I got stuck in my thoughts and didn't realize it is this late so sorrrrry, you're going to have your loooooong post TOMORROW instead. Now let's just enjoy a couple of shots of.. me? Cool. The title of these photos is "Isn't my hair the best!?". Enjoy(?).
